NEW JD Wetherspoon pub The White Hart, Todmorden, opened its doors last week.

The national pub operator has spent £1.1m developing the outlet in White Hart Fold, which includes two bars, a pavement cafe-style area at the front of the building and a beer garden at the rear.

The opening has boosted the local economy by creating 40 new jobs.

Many people took the opportunity to have a look around the pub on its opening night.

The interior is furnished with photos, information boards and a water-wheel sculpture to commemorate the history and character of the town.
