Calderdale roads are open and passable with care following severe flooding.
A spokesman for Calderdale Council said river levels are receding after flooding in many areas of Calderdale last night.
The worst hit were Hebden Bridge, Todmorden, Mytholmroyd and Sowerby Bridge.
“All roads are now open and are passable with care. Street cleaners have worked throughout the night to clear drains and will continue to remove mud and debris over the weekend,” she said.
For information on flood warnings and advice on what to do in a flood, the council advice is to go to the Environment Agency website: www.environment-agency.gov.uk or call their floodline on 0845 988 1188. Train and bus services are also disrupted - check before travelling.
“Emergency services and the council worked through the night last night to ensure people were looked after. Todmorden leisure centre, Calder High School and other local organisations opened as rest centres, where people sheltered for the night,” said the spokesman.
