A WOMAN had a day to remember when she met the Queen at Windsor Castle.

Rachel Ormerod attended the annual Queen Scout Parade and was reviewed by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, HRH the Duke of Edinburgh and Chief Scout Bear Grylls.

Rachael was awarded her Queen Scout status last year. The award has taken Rachel to Peru where she worked in an orphanage. She also completed a four-day expedition in the Yorkshire Dales and works as a section leader at Sixth Todmorden Brownies. Scout leader Jon Sayer said: “We are very proud of Rachel.”
