Runners hope to reach £1k target

THREE runners are hoping to raise £1,000 for charity by taking part in the Great Manchester Run.

Victoria Young, Lisa Mason and Jason Craven have entered the ten kilometre run on May 15 in aid of the British Heart Foundation.

Victoria is being sponsored by her partner’s business, Millwood Vehicle Services, of Todmorden, where she works part time, and Rossendale PVC in Bacup.

“I have done the run before so I know what to expect,” she said.

“Ten kilometres is not as bad as it sounds.

“Once you are there the atmosphere is great and it keeps you going.”

Victoria, Lisa and Jason are hoping to attract more sponsorship and reach their fundraising target.

Thousands of runners will take to the streets of Manchester city centre for the event.
