Send in nominations for a floral ‘thank you’

TODMORDEN Lions Club is bringing back a tradition to recognise hard-working and community-spirited citizens.

Is there somebody who does something for you that you really appreciate and who you think deserves a reward for their efforts?

If so, you can nominate them for the Lions ‘Bouquet of the Month’.

Welfare Chairman Michael Gill is asking for nominations to be sent in so that a bouquet of flowers can be presented to a commendable recipient.

The nominations can be for anyone for any reason – from being a wonderful parent, good neighbour or helping hand to someone with a wealth of community spirit.

“I’m sure we all know of people that, on a daily basis, work selflessly for others without asking for or expecting any recognition. We would like people to tell us if someone has done something special for them, no matter how small, and want them to know that they are appreciated,” he said.

Nominations can be emailed to bouquetofthemonth@live.co.uk or alternatively, send them via post to M Gill, Marazion, Stansfield Hall Road, Todmorden, Lancs, OL14 5LR.

All nominations will be considered by the club.
