POLICE have removed a significant amount of drugs from the streets of Todmorden in a series of operations.
Earlier this month, cannabis plants were found growing in a house on Halifax Road, Todmorden. A 49-year-old man is helping police with their enquiries.
On the same day, an 18-year-old man was arrested in the early hours on suspicion of possessing cannabis and cocaine,
He was spotted by officers who found him acting suspiciously outside a bar on Burnley Road, Todmorden.
Members of the public and door staff raised their suspicions.
On September 11, a 35-year-old woman from Adelaide Street, Todmorden, was arrested on suspicion of possessing cannabis and a class A drug.
She has been bailed pending forensic examination.
A police spokesperson said the operations were carried out in response to concerns raised by the public.
The spokesperson said: “Officers have been taking your priorities very seriously and already a significant amount of drugs have been removed from the streets of Todmorden.”
