THROUGHOUT the month of July, Todmorden Information Centre is exhibiting work by Val and Pam Jordan.
The sisters, born in Mytholmroyd and educated at Calder High School, have retained strong links with the Calder Valley.
Pam is exhibiting pen and ink drawings of Todmorden’s townscape and the Yorkshire Dales. Val’s pictures, which form the major part of the exhibition, are original acrylics and giclee prints showing local landscapes and evocative seascapes capturing the sunlight, expanse and atmosphere of the Australian shoreline.
Val is currently living in Yorkshire and finding inspiration and developing paintings on the Yorkshire moors and coastline. She has recently had paintings accepted for the prestigious Royal Society of Marine Artists exhibition held at the Mall Galleries in London.
The centre, in Burnley Road, is open Monday to Saturday, 10am until 4pm, and on Sundays from 10.45am until 2.30pm.
