SIX drivers have been issued with fixed penalty tickets by police officers for speeding.
In response to one of the public’s priority concerns in Todmorden, PC Stockton conducted speed checks on Burnley Road last week.
On Monday morning (6 am), six drivers were issued with fixed penalty tickets and another 15 drivers were given appropriate advice.
A police spokesman said: “Please make our roads safer by observing the speed limit on this stretch of road. As this is a locally agreed priority for the area, we are duty bound to respond and therefore regular checks will be made.”
