THERE are still ten months to go, but councillors have already started turning their attention to Christmas.

Todmorden Town Council has set up a working party to explore the options for the 2012 Christmas lights.

Councillors felt the need to look into the matter as last Christmas there was not enough space to put up all of the lights designed by winners of the council’s ‘Design a light’ competition. Coun Margareta Holmstedt said: “We need to do something about the Christmas lights.”

Coun David O’Neill had heard stories of parents walking miles trying to find their child’s light.
