THE deadline for submissions to the Voices of Todmorden play-writing competition hosted by Todmorden Hippodrome Theatre has been extended.
It has been being extended to 5pm on Friday, July 29, due to judges’ prior commitments.
All entries must be in the form of a monologue, told (and performed) by one person.
It must be no longer than 2,000 words in length, including stage directions, and should then run, when performed, between five to 10 minutes).
The theme for the monologues is ‘Silver’, which can be interpreted in any way, shape or form.
The entries must in some way refer to, or be set in Todmorden, but the competition is open to entries from anyone.
It can be totally fictional, or based on a true story.
It can be of any genre - biographical, autobiographical, historical, comic, dramatic, or farcical, though it must be an original piece of work that has not been published.
