Residents and staff at Ferney Lee Old People’s home took part in Dignity In Action day earlier this month.
Organised by Dignity In Care, the aim of Dignity Action Day is to raise awareness of the importance of dignity in care.
It aims to ensure people who use care services are treated as individuals and given choice, control and a sense of purpose in their daily lives.
At Ferney Lee, they held an afternoon tea and staff and residents reminisced about their school days. Staff wrote what dignity means to them in a special dignity comments book and a photo album with photographs from previous dignity in action days gave some happy memories for all.
Residents said they had a lovely afternoon.
