BUDDING young journalists have set up their own online school newspaper called iTod.

With the help of teacher Stella Georghiou, a team of students write articles about what’s happening at Todmorden High School, plus news from around the town.

As well as news stories, the students also write columns, entertainment listings, puzzles and even an original cartoon strip.

A spokesperson said: “On iTod you can find out about the different things happening not just around Todmorden but all over the world. Each issue will have lots of different things. The sections will be sporting news, competitions, what’s going on in Todmorden, puzzles and fun things, school council news and general news.”

The students thanked Miss Georghiou for her help and English teacher John Botterill for use of his classroom at lunchtimes.

Keep your eyes on the Todmorden High School page over the coming months to see some of the students’ work in print.
