Motorcyclist airlifted after Walsden accident

A motorcyclist was airlifted to hospital after an accident at Rochdale Road, Todmorden.

His motorcycle collided with a Peugeot car and then hit a second stationary vehicle.

The 64-year-old man suffered a fractured ankle and cuts and bruises in the accident at 11.50 am Sunday.

He was taken to Leeds General Infirmary by air ambulance due to road ambulances being busy on other duties.

Traffic was diverted via Hollins Road while the emergency services were at the scene.
