PLANNING is ongoing for a popular pre-Christmas event and organisers are appealing for your help to make it a success.
KidsFest, a fun afternoon of arty activities, will take place at Todmorden Town Hall on December 10.
Organisers are seeking donations of unwanted Christmas trees to make the event as shiny and glittery as ever.
Lots of artificial Christmas trees are required to decorate the town hall for KidsFest.
Many people have already come forward to help, including Volker Stevin, the Environment Agency, Age Concern and Calder Valley MP Craig Whittaker.
Now organisers are appealing to the local community to drop off any unwanted trees to Kirsten at Todmorden Community College.
A spokesperson for the organising committee said: “It’s all about saving money, reusing and recycling.
“Put the date in your diary and be prepared for a fabulous KidsFest full of surprises.”
The event regularly attracts hundreds of children and their families.
This year it will feature numerous goose themed activities.
