Valley homes sought for feral ‘mousers’

AN appeal has been made by a cats welfare group to local owners of barns and stables.

Halifax, Queensbury and Brighouse branch of Cats Protection is asking owners of barns and stables in the Todmorden and Hebden Bridge areas if they could take in a number of feral cats which the branch has recently rescued. These are cats which are used to sleeping rough and show little promise of developing into household pets. They would however make excellent “mousers”.

“We are caring for them at the moment in an outside environment. Each cat will come with a supply of cat food as a thank you to the new owners. Obviously this will not last forever but it is a gesture we are making on their behalf,” said a spokesman. If you can help, ring 01484 711728.
