Waste and recycling collections today will be carried out on the main roads where accessible to vehicles and crews.

Bereavement services and transport are unaffected by the snow.

However, home or day care services may be disrupted due to the adverse weather and the council is asking people who are concerned about their care provision to contact Gateway to Care on 01422 393000 between 8.45am and 5.30pm.

Calderdale Council has said all of its household waste recycling centres are closed today due to the weather.

Meanwhile, the meeting of Calderdale Council’s Use of Resources scrutiny panel has been cancelled, along with the Calder Ward’s ward forum meeting.
