Davey Dog hopes to win the Mascot challenge race for White Ribbon

Davey Dog, the mascot for the Mytholmroyd-based national charity White Ribbon Campaign will be going for a world record when he turns out for the 2015 Mascot Gold Cup at Wetherby races on April 26, where the organisers are hoping for a world record field of Mascot entries.

Davey whose motto is “These Hands are not for Hurting” has proved so popular a visitor at events that he has been joined by his siblings Daisy Dog and Darren Dog so some racegoers may think they are seeing in triplicate as they are all taking part in the “race”.

If you would like to be a corporate sponsor for Davey or if you would like Davey to appear at an event promoting his message of equal, respectful fair relationships please contact the White Ribbon office.

You can write to White Ribbon at White Ribbon House, New Road, Mytholmroyd, West Yorkshire, HX7 5DZ, telephone 01422 886545 or email info@whiteribboncampaign.co.uk

Supporters of White Ribbon believe there is never an excuse for violence against women. They pledge never to condone it, or to stand by when they know it’s happening.

They have signed up individuals and clubs ranging from local organisations to those at national level to support its aims and make the pledge.

They include Lancashire Premier League football side Burnley Football Club.

The campaign is also on social media including Facebook and Twitter.
