POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a blue Honda Civic was taken from an address in Todmorden.
Car keys and a wallet had also been taken from the property in Woodlands Avenue at 5.53am last Thursday.
Inspector Dave Browning, in charge of the Upper Valley NPT, said: “The Upper Valley is a very safe area to live and work and burglary rates are very low. I want it to stay that way, so don’t make life easy for thieves.
“A common tactic for burglars is to try front doors and, if they find one is unlocked, simply walk in and take treasured possessions.
“You are far less likely to become a victim of this type of burglary if you make it difficult for thieves - simply lock your doors and windows.”
Anyone with information is urged to contact the police on 101.
