HERE’s how you can copntribute to the Pollination Parade.
Workshops for teens and adults will be held today, Thursday, May 31, and Friday, June 1, from 4pm to 7pm at the Unitarian Church, Honey Hole Road, Todmorden, and Union House, Hall Street.
These include the following.
Banner Making – sewers, cutters and people who want to work with fabric are needed to make giant bee and flower banners for the parade. Work with Jamima Latimer of Space Cadets. This workshop will be held at Union House, Hall Street (behind the library).
Withie building – Learn to bend lengths of willow to create beautiful large structures. Work with parade artist Kerith Ogden to build a giant beehive and pollen. This workshop will be held at the Unitarian Church, Honey Hole Road.
Flower puppets and amazing blossom hats – Help to make a sea of huge blossoms for the parade. You’ll be using fabric, paint and found materials to stick, sew and paint a bed of sunflowers, courgette flowers and apple blossoms. Work with parade artist Jonny Quick. This workshop will be held at Union House, Hall Street.
Finally, family puppet and costume making workshops will be held on Saturday and Sunday June 2 and 3 from 10am to noon and 2pm to 4pm.
