A public meeting to be held at Lumbutts Chapel next Monday, February 10 (7.30pm) is an opportunity for anyone to put forward their views on how they would like the graveyard and chapel to be utilised in the future.
Steering committee members have studied a variety of issues and at this meeting will give an outline of progress made, and problems encountered, in their consideration of the strategy required to conserve the graveyard and develop the chapel into a community amenity.
A spokesman said: “It is vital that any action gets the support of not only the local people but also others from wider afield who have historical family connections, and local organisations that might have innovative ideas for the use of the chapel. Please come and give your support. You will be very welcome.”
