HAVE the courage to give my opinion about the new proposal to put in Todmorden another supermarket.
First, for such a small place as Tod, I think we have enough of that - three. Second, for the 160 new jobs, double lose a job and income (market inside and outside, and small shops in the process). Who cares for Tod people? Someone in the council is upset with supermarkets.
And the Abraham Ormerod building can be transferred, for example as a textile-weaving museum, an art centre instead in the railway station, a computer centre. I am sure there are ideas aplenty.
