Stopping here isn’t optional

I AM increasingly concerned at the number of drivers who seem to think that stopping at traffic lights and pedestrian crossings is an optional part of the Highway Code.

This has been worrying me more and more, especially when I take my daughter to and from school. I am amazed at how often cars seem to have no intention of stopping even when I am standing at the crossing with a five year old!

I’d really like to ask drivers just to be a bit more aware of pedestrians and other road users so that we can all stay as safe as possible. It isn’t difficult to do and certainly won’t make much difference to your journey time.
