... and Ashman take spoils in local derby

THIS eagerly awaited local derby was contested fiercely.
Borough — having played three games in a week – had one eye on the league cup final while FC needed the points to keep their hopes of the title alive.

The first-half was a scrappy affair and the only goal was scored by Jack Dungworth.

The second-half was much better with FC pushing forward, looking to kill off the game and Borough creating most of their best chances via the distribution of goalkeeper Reece.

Again there was only one goal in the half — but it was a cracker — as Dungworth and Dickens combined to open up the Borough defence and Nathan Ashman slid the ball past the oncoming keeper to find the back of the net.
