TEN members of Todmorden Angling Society fished a trophy match in atrocious wet and windy conditions at Townhouse.
But catches were good, John Mellor the comfortable winner with a mixed bag of fish caught using pellet on pole.
Rob McEndry caught eight carp using pellet and feeder to seal second spot and Trevor Balmforth, in third place, had two carp in his catch hauled in using pellet and pole.
Fish of the day was a bream of 1lb 7oz caught by Andy Fletcher.
Result: 1, J. Mellor, 39lb 12oz; 2, R. McEndry, 26lb 8oz; 3, T. Balmforth, 22lb.
The Pennine Winter League match fished on the bottom end of the Rochdale Canal by nine teams of six saw some poor weights, with the top three all coming from Derdale basin pegs on pole fished bread punch.
Winner Paul Lehay, of Tricast Rochdale saw his winning haul made up of one big perch and some smaller fish while Fox Match's Steve Crossley, in second, caught roach and skimmer bream.
Results: 1, P. Lehay, 5lb; 2, S. Crossley, 4lb 4½oz; 3, T. Worsnop, 4lb 12oz.
The society's final trophy match of the season is on November 15.
