BRIDGEHOLME turned out to be the perfect guests as Halifax marked the opening of the new sporting facilities at Park Lane High with a rare win in the Halifax League Division two.
They were skittled out for for 37 in reply to Halifax’s 220 for six.
Father and son, Eugene and John Ferris set the ball rolling with a stand of 157, scoring 93 and 84 not out respectively as Halifax recovered from 33 for three to reach 220 for si
x. Neil did the damage with the ball, pluggging away for match figures of 5 for 49 from 12 overs.
Bridgeholme were 25 without loss – Butt 17 – before slipping to 35 for three and then losing their last seven wickets for the addition of only two byes.
The men who did the damage were Zaffar Khan (five for 14) and Kamran Saleem (three for 19).
