IT is not just his own coaches that think young Jack Hanson has star quality.
For Jack, captain of the Todmorden Borough under-11 team has been named as the Calderdale under-11 player of the year.
Opposition coaches award points for the top performing players at each match throughout the season and Jack's tally of 26 was enough to win him the trophy - which he received at the league's presentation evening.
Todmorden coach Andy Battersby said: "As captain of the team Jack has been a leader in every way, he drives them on when they are struggling and is always an outlet for the ball to relieve pressure when needed.
"Coupling this with the talent to run with the ball, beat players, shoot and pass with accuracy, and deliver a great dead ball has made him an ever-present in the team since joining from the Sports Centre club two seasons ago.
"The team, coaches and everyone associated with Todmorden Borough would like to congratulate Jack on this much deserved award."
