Hoot of joy accompanies Cornholme win

NEWCOMERS to the league Cornholme WMC logged their first win of the season with a narrow one point victory over Shannon in Todmorden Quiz League.
The phoned result was accompanied by a hoot of joy, so it must have been a pleasing win for the Cornholme team!
Extensive literary knowledge by one of the team members served Tod CC well in their high scoring win against Bird. Black Lion's narrow win over Pecker keeps them just ahead of the rest of the pack at this early stage.
Jack's House made it two wins from two games played with their victory over Other Con Club.
Results
Jack's House 69, Other Con Club 58; Todmorden CC 76, Bird 51; Cornholme WMC 52, Shannon 51; Black Lion 63, Pecker 61.
