New angling match record

LAST Sunday's open match on Croft Fishery produced a new five hour match record for Todmorden Angling Society's pond.
Weather was wet and calm. With 23 entrants.

Results: 1. Graham Mallinson 54lb 11oz (Mixed bag on pole/ pellet); 2 David Hargreaves 21lb 3oz (Mixed bag on pole/ pellet); 3 Paul Wilkinson 13lb 14oz; 4 Mick Clegg 13lb 2½;5. Frank Szakaley 10lb 6½.

There is another open this Sunday, May, 11, but you must book on early for the limited pegs on Town House. Ring 01706 650954, or 01706 374689 to book on.

Next Sunday, May 18, there is a a members only club trophy match on Croft, draw up to 7.45am, fish 8.30 to 1.30pm, £7.50 all in.

Next Friday, May 16, sees the first junior match of the series of 15 matches. Draw Cliviger Top Pond up to 5.45pm, fish 6.15 to 8.15pm. Entry is £1, TAS Juniors only.

Coaching is n Sundays, 1pm to 4pm on the canal at Dale Street - no charge.
