TODMORDEN Cricket Club played a winning hand in the Play Your Cards round in last week's Todmorden Quiz League, and it set up their victory over Con Club.
It mirrored their match the previous week as they were well behind until that point - well into the second half – the home team's historical knowledge enough to clinch victory in the remaining rounds.

e team kept up their challenge for top of the league status against eventual losers Shannon, albeit by a small margin.
At home Hare and Hounds A revived their early season form by completely defeathering Bird I' Th' Hand. Cornholme WMC started off in confident fashion and were ahead until the history round where they failed to score, Woodpecker taking the lead.
Pecker then raced to an easy win with a superb final round, although the match could have been closer if Cornholme had gone for correct options on alternative answers.
