BOROUGH continued their impressive start to the season but they left it late before making sure of the points.
Matthew Saxon gave them the lead with the only goal of the first-half but County equalised soon after the break and enjoyed the better of the early exchanges in the second-half.
However, with ten minutes to play, an Andy Cooper corner made its way, untouched, into the back of the net to put Borough ahead again.
Marvin Bonney, who has been prolific on his return to the club, made it safe with his fifth goal of the season., leaving Borough just two points off the leaders.
On Saturday they entertain Mill Hill St Peters while the first team – who did not have a game on Saturday – travel to Furness Cavaliers in round one of the Lancashire FA Amateur Shield.
