Anglers ready for open day celebration this Sunday

THIS Sunday Todmorden Angling Society will be celebrating, along with Bovis Homes, at the official reopening of the Ramsden Wood Fishery.

It will take the form of a free “taster day” aimed at people of all ages who would like to try their hand at angling.

The event will be held on Sunday July 31 from 10am to 4pm and members of the public are invited to come along and try fishing free of charge.

All the tackle, bait and licences will be provided and there will also be expert angling coaches available to give those participants who attend around 20 - 30 minutes of one-to-one tuition.

Bovis Homes has developed what it calls a “constructive relationship” with Todmorden Angling Society, drawing up plans for the renewal and enhancement of the Lodge and for its future maintenance and upkeep, effectively saving the lodge.
