ANN Dewhurst was the winner of a weekly nine-hole golf competition played during the winter by lady members of Todmorden Golf Club.
Linda Bell took second place and Jean Kirk was third.
Five golfers played against Rochdale in a Mail on Sunday qualifying round. It was two each but Todmorden went down in the last game which had to be played on the 20th hole.
A games night was held at the club with board games and a putting competition and a Texas Scramble was held on St Patrick’s Day.
The winning team of Janet Topham, Linda Bell, Mary Crawford and Janet Taylor came in with 63 points.
The Lady Captain’s Drive, a nine hole stableford was played on Sunday.
Michele Miller was the winner with 18 points and Julia White had a hole in one on the sixth.
l The penultimate round of the Winter League was played at Todmorden Golf Club on Sunday.
The winner was club secretary David Setterfield with 36 points.
His score was enough to also place him in the winning team, along with Alan Payne and Michael Hollows.
Next week is the final round, followed by the customary “dinner”.
The leaderboard is very tight,with a few players still in with a chance of winning the title.
