JACK’S House seconds gained two valuable league points after a good team performance, beating White Lion 4-2.

They started well and were soon ahead when Danny Brown popped up to lob the White Lion keeper from close range.

They soon extended their lead when Chris Ford fired home from a corner, although the visitors pulled one back to make it 2 - 1 at half-time.

In the second half Jacks extended their lead with a second goal by Ford. A Thomas Barnes shot looked to be heading goalwards, but the forward stopped it and then helped it on its way.

The visitors, though, came back strongly and reduced the arrears with a great strike.

Brown then settled the home nerves as he pressurised the keeper and took the ball off him just outside the area and slotted it into an empty net.

Jacks defence held firm thanks to Colin Harrison and Joseph McLernon, but keeper Anthony McCarthy had to bring off a string of good saves near the end as the visitors desperately tried to get something from the game.
