THE Club Captain’s Prize was held for the ladies at Todmorden Golf Club, with Vincent Korobczyc presenting his prizes to winner Ann Dewhirst with 36 points and runner-up Irene Muldowney with 35 points.

President Peter Eastwood held the first round of his competition on Saturday with some formidable scores posted.

The man in form is definitely Andrew Lupton, after his recent wins in the July monthly medal and the August mid-week medal, he scored 42 points to take an early lead.

However, Ben Whitham, Michael Murray and Simon Hemmington all scored 39 points to keep him on his toes for the second round on Saturday.

The nearest the pin prizes were won by Rabbit captain Russell Waring on the fifth and Michael Hollows on the 16th. Birdie twos were recorded by Ben Whitham, P.Horsfall and vice-captain Gary Fisher. Eagle twos however,were achieved by Ian Tootell on the 10th and Johnny Feber on the ninth holes.

The Seniors Club Championship was won by Peter Bailey with a 37 and 31, scored over two rounds last week for a 68-point total. The latest Friday Summer League was won by Gary Symes with a nine-hole total of 22 points, narrowly beating Paul Neely with 21. The next round is on Friday.
