Floodlit night ends bowls club’s centenary season

SAVILE Bowling Club, Hebden Bridge, rounded of its centenary celebrations with the finals night of the Floodlit Pairs.

This well supported event, not held for over 10 years, was staged to celebrate Savile’s 100 years of bowling.

The competition was won by Martin Greenwood and Terry Ness from Siddal Park Bowling Club beating James Tiler and Phil Price (Lund Park Bowling Club) 21-18 in a thrilling final in front of an appreciative audience.

After the presentation of the trophy and £120 first prize Terry Ness thanked Savile and said he hoped that the Floodlit Pairs would become an annual event again.
