Hoping Ing-erland’s Danny keeps it up!

Burnley head back into Championship action this weekend with another of the season’s acid tests.

Little Billy’s Nottingham Forest are expecting to be one of the promotion challengers this year and getting any kind of result from the City Ground will do Sean Dyche’s Clarets credit.

Burnley got the upper hand in the Capital One Cup clash at Turf Moor a couple of months ago, but this will be an altogether sterner test.

Clarets fans were rooting for Jay Rodriguez (and to some extent his fellow ex-Claret Gary Cahill) against Chile last Friday night but it was a difficult international debut for the Burnley-born striker.

There was more to cheer at U21 level, when Danny Ings won his second England Under-21 cap and scored two of England’s goals in the 9-0 win against San Marino at Shrewsbury.

Luke Conlan also won his second Under-21 cap in Northern Ireland’s 1-0 win against Cyprus.

We hope Danny will carry the scoring touch down to the Midlands on Saturday. It would be great to get the season back off to a good start in a tough game.
