VINCENT Korobczyc relinquished the captaincy at Todmorden Golf Club’s annual meeting last Saturday.

He thanked everyone who had supported him during his year of office, especially his wife Lisa.

Taking over as club captain is local businessman Gary Fisher.

Born in Gateshead, he has been a member since 1993 as well as being a past Rabbit Captain at the club.

He runs Graphic Design and Digital Printing in the town and has also previously helped run the Bird i’th’ Hand pub a few years ago.

Gary is also a DJ, as well as singing in a band, and is keen to bring in more juniors and younger members to the club during his year as captain.

Janet Taylor takes over as Lady Captain from Dinah Kenworthy.

Having been a previous member of the club, Janet is a fast-improving player, reducing her handicap by eight shots during the last playing season.

The new section captains are David Rushton and Colin Greenwood who head the Rabbits and Seniors sections, respectively.
