Good effort by reserves

BOROUGH’s second string curbed the number of goals they have conceded lately with a good effort at home to fourth-placed Wyre.

Even with a weakened side they proved a match for the visitors and opened the scoring with a Johnny Taylor shot early in the game. The visitors equalised just before the break and the second half was another close affair until they snatched the winner with just 12 minutes left.

Borough are at home on Saturday to Lytham Town for their last match of the season.
