Jack’s put brakes on runaway Hounds

JACK’S House put the brakes on Hare and Hounds B’s runaway form at the top of Todmorden Quiz League with a victory last week.

With Polished Knob convincingly defeating Cornholme WMC, they are now only a point behind the league leaders and with a few fixtures still to go the race is open again.

Weavers nearly managed their second win of the season against Hare and Hounds A but the home team rescued a draw in the final minutes of the match.

Tod’s cricketers only had a two man team at Royal George but still managed to win in a match carried out in true sporting style by both teams.

Bird/Queen’s recent good form carried on with a stirring victory against Bridge End whose early season form seems to have deserted them.

At Woodpecker the home team stormed ahead in the early rounds and were 23 points ahead at half-way. Although Shannon pulled a few back in the later rounds it wasn’t enough and Woodpecker were easy winners.
