Todmorden C of E School had a week to remember with two Kwik Cricket successes.

The under 11s won a Todmorden Cluster competition at Todmorden CC last Thursday involving all seven local primary schools.

The top two from each group qualified for the semi-finals and Todmorden CE won to qualify for the Calderdale Finals on Friday, June 19.

Thomas Barker was the player of the tournament and received a unique ECB cap.

The school’s under nines won the Drax Cup event at Illingworth CC the following day.

Seventeen primary schools from across Calderdale took part and Tod won their three group fixtures before beating Beech Hill in the semi-finals and Bolton Brow in the final.

The under nines will represent Calderdale in the West Yorkshire event at Headingley on July 10, playing at the interval in a Yorkshire T20 game.
