Angling: McEndry glory

COLD, windy conditions greeted anglers who arrived at Townhouse to fish Todmorden Angling Society's open match.

Twelve anglers fished and Rob McEndry did enough to edge Stan Buckley into second place. McEndry's catch included ide and roach caught using pole and worm while Buckley included ide and carp in his haul. Lee Cavanagh was third with some carp and "bits" in his catch.

Result: 1, R. McEndry, 7lb 8oz; 2, S. Buckley, 7lb 1oz; 3, L. Cavanagh, 5lb 12oz.

This Sunday, March 14, the society has a club trophy match being fished on Croft. This is members only.
