Borders gets his name on the board

TODMORDEN Golf Club saw an individual stableford competition played on Saturday in miserable weather.

However there was a different name at the top the leader board with a sterling performance from Peter Borders, who took the honours with a fine score of 39 points.

Chris Redmond came second with 37 points.

The nearest the pin prizes were won by Alan Payne at the fifth hole and Steve Hill at the 16th.

There were three twos scored by Lee Dearden, Chris Redmond and Mark Hamer.
