Cricket: Oops, what about this historic ton double!

WALSDEN'S record keeper overlooked a significant one last week when researching games where two players hit centuries in the same match.

In July 1999 Mark Hooson, Walsden's current second team captain, and Deon Kruis, Walsden's professional, shared an unbeaten 204 partnership in Walsden's 281- for two.

Hooson hit 111 not out and Kruis, who later went on to have sparkling career with Yorkshire, 130 not out.

That season Kruis showed his potential by completing the illusive double scoring exactly 1,000 runs and taking exactly 100 wickets.
