Cricket: Perera is hat-trick hero for Walsden

The Sri Lankan dominated the game as as Walsden beat Radcliffe by four wickets at Scott Street in the Central Lancashire League.

But it was almost the opposite story the next day at Monton and Weaste where Walsden lost by five wickets.
They scored 172 for six, but the home side reached 173 for five with an over to spare.
The only real high point for the visitors was 60 by young Joe Hammond in only his third game for the club after joining from the Halifax League.
It was a similar story for Walsden seconds, who were well beaten at Radcliffe, but on a good display to defeat Monton and Weaste at Scott Street the next day.

He was well supported by Mark Hooson (51), his son Jake (23) and Josh Highley (45).
Visitors Monton and Weaste were all out for 205 with Josh Barnes taking five for 48 and Martin Halstead three for 28.
