George caught on break in tough test

WITH injuries and a suspension George could just field 11 which was costly for the side, as Joe Connor took a knock late in the first half and Jamie Donellan was injured from the start.

Things went badly for George as they conceded an early goal. Jackson Sutcliffe then found the back of the net after Josh Carrington put him through.

Arron Adams had an outstanding game at right back as did Gav Higgin who partnered Connor at the back.

George were caught on the break three times, Jonny Sutcliffe hit the bar from a corner and Jackson Sutcliffe hit the post.

Donellan was called upon several times to prevent the scoreline getting any bigger and Connor and Higgins both had to make goal-line clearances.

This was George’s toughest game but they entertain bottom club Cartshaft on Sunday.
