Golf: Great away day for ladies' section
It was a great day for women members of Todmorden Golf Club on the lady captain's day trip to Clitheroe.
The course was in lovely condition, but most found the greens slow compared to Todmorden.
They played in fours with two to score, other than the par threes when we all had to get the ball in the hole.
The winners of the day were the lady captain Alison Barker, Heidi Woodhead, Jan Scott and Mary Crawford and everyone received a prize and a goody bag.
On Thursday members played an 18-hole Stabeford, in the rain. Irena Brown was the winner with 35 points. Irene Muldowney was second after a card play-off with Julia White both having 34 points.
