Homing: almost a mile a minute for Phil's winner
TWELVE members of Todmorden Homing Society had 312 pigeons at Wolleston last Saturday.
Liberated into a light south west wind, the race was fast and easy.
First to clock was Phil Williams, his bird flying 84 miles in 89 minutes, just in front of Lee Brennan in second with Damien and Bill Fleming in third.
Phil also demonstrated a magentic attraction to money by winning the lucky minute!
Next week's race is from Wolleston.
