Jones in top form with arrows
SHANNON’S S. Jones was in top form for the A team in the penultimate round of Todmorden Mixed Darts Winter League fixtures.
He hit the night’s only 180 maximum and best checkout, from 106.
Shannon have the A Division title in the bag with eight wins from nine.
We have been asked to point out that Shannon did not lose their 100 per cent record in the previous round of matches. This happened back in September at the hands of TWMSC, who look set to take the runners-up spot.
Our apologies to all teams concerned - this came from our misreading of the scorecard.
In the B Division the remaining battle is for second place where Glen View and Hare and Hounds A are jockeying for position going into the final fixtures which were due to be played this week.
Teams should note there will be a league meeting at Todmorden Working Men’s Social Club on February 21 at 8.30pm.
Outstanding match fees for the winter league should be paid at this meeting and entries will also be taken for the charity knockout competition. This will cost £10 per team, also payable. As many committee members as possible are asked to attend, a committee meeting will be held on all rule sheets.
