Netball: Jacks happy to be jumping for joy

JUMPING Jacks were in fine form as they beat Jammy Dodgers 11-6 in the Todmorden Netball League.

They dominated the first-half and then took advantage when an ankle injury sidelined Jammy's goal defence.

Tod Terriers put in another fine performance to take the points from a 20-8 victory over Robinswood Robins.

It was neck and neck for most of a fast-paced game between Lions and Thundercats.

In the end slightly better shooting saw Cats edge the battle of the felines 14-12.

Pink Panthers failed to show giving Rangers a 20-0 victory and Windies had a bye.

The previous week slick passing and good interceptions gave Jumping Jacks a 12-8 win over Robinswood Robin s.

It was a fiercely fought match with both sides making work in the circle hard.

Robins were slow to start but caught up at half time giving Jacks a good game.

Thundercats battled hard but ceding a numerical advantage was always going to cost them, Rangers taking advantage to win 14-3.

Jammy Dodgers led their game against Windies 8-3 as the teams swapped ends for the second-half and, despite an epic fightback, just had enough in the tank to win the game 14-13.

Tod Terriers won a fast, but often scrappy, game against Pink Panthers 16-7 while it was Lions' turn to enjoy a bye week.
