Pool: Pockets bag team title

POCKETS took the Todmorden pool League Team Knockout title, defeating Walsden Waggon 4-0 in the final held at the Cross Keys on Monday night.

Attention now turns to the men's doubles competition, with matches to be played by or on Wednesday, July 1, with an 8.30pm start.

At Walsden Waggon: Dennett/Wood (Shannon) v Montgomery/Pearson (Royal George).

At Weavers: Newbould/Newbould (Shannon) v Baker/Lively (Jack's House).

At Cross Keys: Watson/Win (Cross Keys) v Duckworth/Chrimes (Cross Keys).

At Royal George: Egan/McDaid (Waggon) or Walters/Pinnington (Jack's House) v Colclough/Harris (Shannon).

At Woodpecker: Helliwell/Calvert (Weavers) v Staroszczuk/Lawless (Shannon).

At Catholic Club: Schofield/Schofield (Cross Keys) v McPheely/Dagnall (Weavers).

At Golden Lion: Colclough/Gill (Shannon) v Winfield/Watt (Cross Keys).

At Shannon: Newlands/Walters (Weavers) v Lee/Sawyer (Woodpecker).

All results should be texted to 0785 2984488 after matches are completed.

- Todmorden Summer Pool League will be starting on Monday, July 6.

Any teams entering must be registered by noon on June 29. Registration must be made with team name and 10 per team entry fee to Paint and Paper, 5 Halifax Road, Todmorden.
